The New iPad- iLike it

Yes, I know how much you guys have been waiting for this and now it's here..........the successor of the famed iPad 2; yeah we thought about the name( why New, why not 3 or HD), but we decide not to delve upon that for to long.
In this review I'll be critically analyzing the New iPad on the basis of design, build quality, functionality and pricing after which I will give a final verdict.

Design- Looking at the New iPad, not many changes have been made externally as it sports the same slim, steely look of the iPad 2, though it is thicker by a hairline. The biggest and if I must say............resolutionary improvement in the New iPad is its 9.7 inch LED- backlit IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen which sports a 1536x2048 retinal display, giving much sharper, clearer colours than the iPad 2. At the front is the essential Home button which accompanies all Apple Inc. products and a front facing VGA camera. At the back is the resolutionary 5 MP iSight camera and the iPad logo.

Build Quality- The New iPad is protected by the same aluminium casing used by the iPad 2. It screen is protected by scratch resistant glass and an oleophobic(oil resistant) coating, which prevents any smudge marks from appearing on the screen due to continuous usage. All Apple Inc. products are prone to damage if dropped; nothing changes with the New iPad, drop one and you will definitely need that warrant provided in the box.

Functionality- Now here is the real deal, what makes the New iPad the best tablet PC money can buy. It is powered by the Apple A5X processor and don't be mistaken by the additional X, compared to the previous A5 chipset(present in the iPhone 4s), the A5X supports heavy multi-tasking with ease and provides much better graphics. It runs on iOS 5.1 and compared to iOS 5 we couldn't see anything different other than a .1 extra; it has the regular icon display and no widgets on the home screens, hence lacking the eye candy which other OSs(such as Android and Windows) have to offer. The web browser supports HTML via the Safari browser but no Flash.......which was a bit surprising considering that other tablets(priced much lesser) do support Flash.Forgetting about that, kinetic scrolling and pinch gestures work well and pages load quickly. The New iPad also comes with iCloud, which is not of much use unless you have other Apple Inc. products; if you do, it is very helpful for sharing multimedia content between devices. The 5 MP iSight camera is one of a kind; well if you remember the iPad 2 had a down to earth 0.7 MP camera which was pretty much useless even if you were a happy snapper. However pictures turn out neat and crisp in the New iPad and it can also shoot videos in 1080p@30fps, simply resolutionary!!! It also supports superfast 4G LTE connectivity for better web browsing speeds and streaming videos. However, there are some downsides to the New iPad; you can't use it while its charging. Yes, it is very sad, imagine playing a game of Temple Run and your almost going to beat your high score, but your on the last bar of battery and need to charge urgently or the tablet will get switched off. Another thing we noticed is that after turning on Wi-fi, the New iPad starts acting crazy, maybe a reception problem, we don't know but it will definitely make your web browsing experience uncomfortable.

Pricing- After all that, the most inevitable part of a gadget review- the price. With all these mouth-watering features the New iPad starts at a price of $499(USD) for the basic 16 GB Wi-fi model. It also comes in 32 and 64 Gigabyte versions priced at $599(USD) and $600(USD) respectively. If you want Wi-fi+4G connectivity too, you have to shell out $629(USD), $729(USD) and $829(USD) for the 16, 32 and 64 Gigabyte versions respectively. Pricey, but hey!!!! it's the New iPad.

The Verdict- Overall, the New iPad is what every tablet aspires to be. With its retinal display, fast processor , sharp camera and superb connectivity, it can't get better than this. The New iPad is simply the best tablet PC money can buy. If you think the New iPad will burn to big a hole in your wallet then check out the iPad 2, the classic tablet with an inferior 0.7 MP camera but a much lower price tag and with the blood of the Apple flowing through its veins.

Hope this review was resourceful and helps you buy your New iPad. If you would like to purchase the New iPad(16,32 and 64 GB) right away, you can buy it through our 100% safe Amazon portal.
