The RIM Blackberry Playbook- A berry good tab

Everyone normally thinks of the iPad to be the all supreme tablet. However, though this fact is inevitibly true, there are still some pretty good tablets computers like the Playbook, which also do their jobs well and cost a fraction of the price.
In this review I'll be critically analyzing the Blackberry Playbook RIM on the basis of design, build quality, functionality and pricing after which I will give final verdict.

Design- The Blackberry Playbook RIM sports a bold and sleek design(like most Blackberries).Other than the volume rocker and the power button(located at the top), the Playbook is physically keyless. It also boasts a 7 inch capacitive TFT touchscreen which responds very well. At the back is a 5 megapixel camera and there is also a 3 megapixel front facing camera which makes video calling possible. Its size is decent and can be held with one hand.

Build Quality- The Playbook isn't as slim as the iPad which is why it is tougher. It has a soft touch coating which makes the tablet feel nice to hold. The coating also acts as a dust repellant and prevents any scratches from appearing if the tablet is dropped.

Functionality- The Playbook is quite a powerhouse when it comes to functionality. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor which is powerful and makes everything respond quickly. The tablet runs on the new and refreshing Blackberry OS 7. Blackberry has corrected some of its errors commited in OS 6, such as the freezing(oh! the freezing was scary) and has brought out a clean, clear and crisp OS. The 5 megapixel camera at the back takes good photos and has the ability to record at 1080p@30fps(basically it can record in High Definition). The front facing 3 megapixel camera does its job well in not causing any lag between audio and video during video calls. The Playbook, unfortunately doesn't have any connectivity options other than Wi-fi. The web browser is nice and can support HTML5 and Flash content.

Pricing- The Playbook is priced reasonably well at $270(USD), $320(USD) and $490(USD) for the 16, 32 and 64 gigabyte versions respectively.

The Verdict- Overall, with bold looks, a refreshing OS and a price much lesser than that of the iPad, the Blackberry Playbook RIM is a great tablet. Its user interface will leave you satisfied and impressed. However, if you want only the best, go in for an iPad or an iPad 2 which are, well for more enhanced but are pricier by leaps and bounds.

Hope this review was resourceful and helps you buy your RIM Blackberry Playbook. If you want to buy the Blackberry Playbook right away, you can buy it from 100% safe Amazon portal.
